STILL

A Still-life or trompe l'oeil can excite an area of a room, wherever one may wish a little something.  Some examples would be a landing on a stairway too small to actually have a topiary, over a stove top or on a narrow wall.

The term trompe l'oeil means to trick or fool the eye.  This can be done in many ways.  The above are areas where a real table may not fit on a landing or on that narrow wall, but it could be painted to look as if it were there, with all of its splender sitting on top.  A still-life or trompe l'leil can be personalized not only to fit your space, but it can be created to be of something meaningful to you the client.

With our ideas put together, a sketch would be made, at which time it is to the clients liking, the painting would begin.  The color pallet would be used so as to compliment it's surroundings.  When the mural is completed a clear coat would be applied.  If it would be over a stove where it would be wiped down frequently, several coats would be applied.  After some time just like tile and grout it can be resealed.
